Mary Wagnon, FSA, MAAA is Senior Vice President, Chief Actuary and Chief Risk Officer of Unum. Playing an active role in both strategy and operations, Mary provides leadership, direction and oversight to the Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and senior management team concerning enterprise risk management and corporate actuarial functions. She established and continues to manage the corporate risk philosophy and appetite and provides strategic insights to senior leaders to support business planning and financial forecasting.
Mary holds a Bachelor of Science in Intensive Mathematics, with a minor in Statistics from the University of South Carolina. She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
