Edward is Managing Director and Chief Risk Officer at Global Atlantic, responsible for enterprise-wide risk governance and oversight. He serves on the Executive Committee, Management Committee, and is Chair of the Risk Committee. 

 

Edward is an expert at risk management and his experience encompasses institutional client business risk, counterparty credit risk, balance sheet and capital planning, funding and liquidity risk management, asset-liability strategy and market risk. 

 

Edward joined Global Atlantic from Goldman Sachs where he was Managing Director and Global Head of Risk for the Prime Services business. Previously, Edward was a founding member and Head of Global Liquidity Products, working with the Corporate Treasury department on firm funding and liquidity risk strategy. 

 

Edward held a variety of roles in his more than 26 years at Goldman Sachs, from overseeing risk in the Equities Division to various trading roles in the FX, Equity Derivatives and Interest Rate Products businesses. He was in risk roles for 13 out of his 26 years. He also served as chair of the Clearing House Risk Committee, the Firmwide Asset-Liability Committee and the Securities Division Risk Committee. Additionally, he was a member of the Firmwide Finance Committee.
